Mall Roof Makeover: A Cool Transformation
This large-scale commercial roof restoration brought new life to a tired, weather-beaten mall rooftop. Partnering with a professional applicator, Nutech Paint was involved every step of the way—conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure an exceptional result.
The project began with a full pressure clean of the corrugated metal roof, removing years of built-up dirt, grime, and debris. Once cleaned, the surface was meticulously sanded to eliminate rust that had developed over time. To protect against further corrosion and provide a reliable base for coating, NuTech Paint’s high-performance Metal Primer was applied.
For the topcoat, the property owners selected NXT Cool Coat in a custom-matched colour, chosen not only for its sleek aesthetic but also for its superior heat-reflective properties and long-lasting durability. Two coats were expertly applied, delivering a smooth, high-quality finish designed to withstand Australia’s harsh climate.
Due to the size of the roof, the extent of rust damage, and the need to work around the mall’s operating hours, the project spanned approximately three weeks.
