NXT AquaGuard is a high-performance, water-based coating designed to protect exterior surfaces from water damage, weathering, and environmental contaminants. It forms a durable, flexible film that shields against moisture ingress while allowing the surface to breathe. This makes it ideal for masonry, concrete, render, brickwork, and other exposed architectural surfaces.
Built for long-term performance, NXT AquaGuard resists fungal and algal growth, as well as salt attack and carbon staining, common issues in harsh or coastal environments. Its hydrophobic properties provide strong water beading, helping rainwater carry away dirt and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
The coating remains flexible while still offering a hard surface finish. This flexibility allows it to move with the substrate, reducing cracking and premature coating failure. With its advanced resistance to staining and contamination, surfaces stay cleaner and retain their finish for longer.
Available in a low-sheen finish, it can be tinted to match a wide range of colours for both residential and commercial projects. Clear, tintable base options are also available to support architectural versatility.
For best results, apply over clean, properly prepared substrates using a suitable primer from the NXT Coatings System. The whole system ensures strong adhesion and optimal weatherproofing performance.

NXT AquaGuard requires two coats to ensure that the surface is 100% waterproof. Before application, the surface must be cleaned and dried, and joins should be reinforced using Poly Fabric. The entire surface should then be primed with a suitable primer.
Two coats of NXT AquaGard should be applied using a brush, roller or airless spray unit with a 20-30 thou tip. Allow 4 hours drying time between coats, and up to 72 hours for a weatherproof finish.

NXT AquaGuard is not designed for use as an exposed membrane under vehicular or heavy foot traffic. For roof applications, NXT AquaGuard is to be applied to surfaces with appropriate falls and drainage. NXT AquaGuard is not designed for immersion or application in subterranean areas. The product in a wet state can be cleaned up with water. Once the product has dried, it will need mechanical means or solvents to remove it.
