NuPrime is an acrylic primer developed to promote strong inter-coat adhesion and provide a stable base for roof and concrete coatings. It’s especially effective on powdery roof tiles, where surface instability can affect long-term coating performance.
Many tiled roofs develop a chalky or powdery surface over time. Applying this primer helps lock down those particles, allowing your topcoat to bond correctly. This creates a solid, weather-resistant foundation that enhances the performance and durability of your final coating.
NuPrime dries quickly, saving time on site and speeding up project turnaround. Its user-friendly formula makes it easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray. Once dry, it forms a breathable, moisture-resistant base that helps protect and stabilise the surface beneath.
This product penetrates well, even on aged, oxidised tiles. It strengthens fragile or porous surfaces, preparing them for long-term coating performance.

Avoid mist-spraying Nu-Prime on hot tiles to prevent flash surface drying.
Coat in cooler weather conditions or pre-wet the roof with cold water to reduce the surface temperature in very hot weather. The addition of several litres of water to 20 litres of Nu-Prime in very hot weather is recommended to assist penetration and reduce the potential for flash surface drying.
Flood apply the coating onto the tile to maximise the penetration.
