Acrylic Concrete Sealer for Long-Term Surface Protection

PaveCoat is a premium acrylic concrete sealer developed to protect, enhance, and extend the life of concrete surfaces across Australia. Widely trusted by contractors, asset managers, and homeowners, this solvent-based sealer delivers durable performance in both residential and commercial environments.

Designed for Australian conditions, PaveCoat provides reliable protection against UV exposure, weathering, oil contamination, and general wear. It suits both new concrete installations and existing surfaces that require rejuvenation and long-term sealing.

Designed for Australian Conditions

Australia’s climate places heavy demands on concrete surfaces. High UV levels, temperature swings, and exposure to oil and fuel can quickly degrade unprotected concrete. PaveCoat addresses these challenges with a deeply penetrating acrylic formulation that bonds strongly to concrete substrates.

Once applied, the sealer forms a hard-wearing, UV-stable finish that helps prevent surface breakdown, dusting, and staining. As a result, sealed surfaces maintain their appearance and performance for longer, even in high-traffic or exposed environments.

Deep Penetration and Strong Adhesion

This acrylic concrete sealer penetrates into the concrete surface rather than forming a brittle surface film. That penetration improves adhesion and reduces the risk of peeling or flaking over time. It also helps bind surface particles, which reduces dusting and improves cleanability.

Because of its strong bond, PaveCoat performs well on both freshly poured concrete and older concrete that has been correctly prepared. Contractors rely on this consistent adhesion when sealing driveways, car parks, footpaths, and commercial hardstands.

Resistance to Oil, Grease, and Chemicals

Concrete surfaces in industrial and commercial settings are often exposed to oil, fuel, and chemicals. PaveCoat provides resistance to these contaminants, helping reduce staining and surface damage.

This makes it suitable for use on:

  • Driveways and parking areas

  • Workshops and service bays

  • Commercial paving and walkways

  • Industrial hardstands and loading zones

By limiting penetration of contaminants, the sealer simplifies cleaning and reduces long-term maintenance requirements.

Enhances Appearance and Finish

In addition to protection, PaveCoat enhances the visual appeal of concrete surfaces. The sealer deepens colour, highlights texture, and delivers a smooth, professional finish.

Available in gloss and matte options, PaveCoat allows users to tailor the final appearance to suit the project. It also supports a broad colour range, making it suitable for decorative concrete applications as well as functional surfaces.

VOC Compliance and Responsible Use

PaveCoat meets applicable VOC compliance and safety standards for use in Australia when applied in accordance with product guidelines. While solvent-based, it balances performance with responsible formulation, making it suitable for professional use across a wide range of projects.

For projects requiring lower-VOC solutions or use in environmentally sensitive areas, NuTech also offers PaveCoat H2O, a water-based alternative that delivers similar protection with reduced emissions.

PaveCoat vs Water-Based Concrete Sealers

Solvent-based acrylic sealers like PaveCoat typically offer deeper penetration and stronger initial bonding than water-based options. This makes them well-suited to high-wear environments and areas exposed to fuel or oil.

Water-based sealers, such as PaveCoat H2O, may suit projects where odour, VOC levels, or environmental sensitivity are the primary concern. Choosing the right system depends on site conditions, performance requirements, and application constraints.

Suitable Applications

PaveCoat is suitable for use on:

  • Concrete driveways

  • Pathways and walkways

  • Patios and outdoor living areas

  • Commercial paving

  • Car parks and parking bays

  • Industrial concrete surfaces

Always ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and correctly prepared before application.

  • Not suitable for use over standard enamel floor finishes

  • Without an AntiSlip additive, PaveCoat may not meet safety standards for steep or smooth surfaces

  • For gradients steeper than 1 in 14, a P5 or R12 slip rating is required – use EPiC PolyCryl or Epoxy 500 with AntiSlip Cast On

  • Use in well-ventilated areas only

  • Keep away from heat and ignition sources

  • Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for full handling precautions

Q: Can I use PaveCoat on new concrete?
A: Yes, but allow the concrete to cure for at least 7 days. For same-day sealing, use PaveCoat Cure & Seal.

Q: How long before I can drive on it?
A: Wait a minimum of 7 days after application before parking vehicles on the surface.

Q: Is it slippery when wet?
A: On steep or smooth surfaces, PaveCoat should be used with an AntiSlip additive to meet safety standards.

Q: Can I use PaveCoat over another coating?
A: No, PaveCoat is not suitable for application over enamel floor finishes. Use a coating test kit or consult NuTech.

Q: What if I need a high gloss or matte finish?
A: Both finishes are available upon request. Standard PaveCoat is gloss.
