NuCourt Pro Coat is a premium, water-based acrylic coating designed for brush and squeegee application on concrete and asphalt sports courts. Built for high-traffic outdoor environments, it delivers a resilient, non-slip surface with vibrant colour and long-lasting protection.
This coating is a key component of the complete NuCourt Sports Surface System, providing a robust top layer that enhances safety, performance, and visual appeal. It is ideal for tennis, basketball, netball, and multi-use recreational courts.
The formula is easy to apply and creates a high-build, slip-resistant surface. It resists wear, weather, and biological growth, such as mould and algae. The result is a smoother playing surface that stays durable and low-maintenance.
Available in black, white, and six standard colours – Terracotta Red, Light Green, Grass Green, Moss Green, Sportsmaster Blue, and Grandslam Blue – this coating provides flexibility for court design. Custom tinting is also available for larger projects or branded installations.
Because it’s water-based and low in VOCs, it’s safer for users and better for the environment. It also performs well in all weather conditions and retains colour even under heavy sun exposure.
For the best finish, use this product over a properly prepared surface with a compatible primer or basecoat from the NuCourt range. This helps ensure long-term bonding and provides a high-quality finish.

Preparation:
The surface must be clean and free of all lichen, moss, grease, oil, chewing gum, silicon and other foreign matter.
Moss and Lichen Contamination: Use Nutech Hypo per the relevant TDS, allowing the surface to dry thoroughly after complete preparation.
Grease & Oil: Use EcoSafe Degreaser in accordance with the relevant TDS.
Use a high-pressure water blast (> 2500 PSI) to remove any grease, oil, food, or stains. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Repair: All non-structural cracking and any surface damage. Nutech Paint recommends seeking professional advice regarding any structural or drainage issues before the commencement of works.
Any ponding of water deeper than 20mm will require patch repairing.
Where the existing coating has been removed, patch repair the surface using NuCourt Fill Coat in accordance with the relevant TDS
Application:
Squeegee:
First Coat: Apply one coat of NuCourt Pro Coat.
Method:
- Pour a windrow of NuCourt Pro Coat parallel to the court edge.
- Apply even downward pressure and avoid leaving thick film sections on either side of the applicator.
- Walking in the direction of the windrow, spread with the applicator to obtain an even cover, then reverse direction.
- Allow the coat to dry.
After the coating is dry, inspect the surface and scrape or grind off any excess lumps or irregularities.
Second Coat: Apply NuCourt Pro Coat using the above-described method.
Note: Do not overwork areas; always maintain a wet leading edge.
Undulating surfaces: The Squeegee method may not be suitable.
2 Broom Method:
First Coat: Apply one coat of NuCourt Pro Coat
Method:
- Spread the NuCourt Pro Coat coating with a stiff-bristle broom
- To obtain a smooth and even finish, follow up with a soft-bristle broom
- Allow the coat to dry
After the coating is dry, inspect the surface and scrape or grind off any excess lumps or irregularities.
Second Coat: Apply NuCourt Pro Coat in the above-described method.
NOTE: Broom application usually uses 10% more coating material than squeegee application.
