Short step-by-step DIY guide

  1. Prepare the area
Clear leaves debris and loose dirt. Protect nearby plants and drains by wetting exposed garden beds and placing covers where necessary. Check the weather forecast and pick a dry day with no heavy rain for at least 24 hours.
  2. Protect yourself and the site
Wear gloves, eye protection and long sleeves. Although EcoSafe MossRid is non-toxic, it can irritate eyes and skin in some cases. Have a hose or bucket of water ready to rinse plants or overspray. For full safety details, see the Safety Data Sheet. EcoSafe_MossRid-SDS_AUS
  3. Apply EcoSafe MossRid
Dilute or use neat, as directed on the product label, and apply evenly with a garden sprayer, pump sprayer, or brush. Allow the product to dwell for the time recommended on the label so it can act on the growth.
  4. Agitate and remove
After dwell time, scrub with a stiff nylon broom or brush. For stubborn patches, use a plastic scraper. For larger areas, a low-pressure rinse or a light-pressure washer on a low setting can be used; avoid high pressure, which can damage joints or softer substrates.
  5. Rinse and let dry
Rinse thoroughly into a suitable area and avoid directing runoff into sensitive garden beds or stormwater drains. Let the surface dry fully. Summer conditions typically give the fastest dry times.
  6. Inspect and treat spots
Repeat spot treatments on any remaining patches, then allow to dry. Once completely dry, consider applying a NuTech sealer or protective coating to reduce regrowth and extend the life of your finish.
